Unplugged Weddings

If you want your guests to be present in the moment and feel that they are part of your ceremony, consider planning an unplugged wedding. By requesting that they silence and put away all of their devices, you remove potential distractions and remind them that the reason they’re there is to support you and your fiance as you pledge your lives to each other!

An unplugged ceremony also ensures that your photographer is able to capture all of the crucial moments you’ll want to remember forever. No one wants the image of them walking down the aisle to be half-blocked by their cousin’s girlfriend who leaned into the aisle with her phone to take a picture!

Let your guests know with a creative sign as they enter the ceremony space or have your officiant ask them to put their cameras and phones away before the processional begins. In my experience, people are pretty respectful of the request - especially when they know it comes from you!
