Experience
Real talk:
Other than your partner, your photographer is the person you’ll likely spend the most time with on your wedding day.
Wild, right?
So you need to not only trust your photographer’s process and vision but you also need to seriously vibe with them.
Seriously.
I’m not the photographer for everyone and that’s okay. Do I want to be your forever friend? Heck yes, I do! But there’s SO much more to it than that.
“Amy is an absolute dream to work with! We had her shoot our wedding day as well as our one year anniversary photos, and they came out more incredible than we could have hoped! Not only that, but Amy is such a joy to be around. She is so positive and professional and exactly who you want around you on your big day! She made the atmosphere so fun and comfortable for both me and my husband! I can't recommend Amy enough - you'll be so pleased with her work but you will also gain a friend!”

The Amy K Experience
What is it like to work with me?
My goal is to capture your unique love by focusing on you (the REAL you) and how you want to feel when you look at your photos in twenty-five years.
I want (no actually, I need) you to spill every sweet, funny, gritty, memorable detail of your love story because: A) I frickin love a love story, but more importantly: B) knowing your story is how I’m able to translate it into images that you’ll cherish forever.
Worried you’ll feel awkward in front of the camera? I’ve been there too!
I remember having one of those department store photo shoots as a kid where every strand of hair was put in a specific place and each pose seemed cheesier than the last - it felt ridiculous!
NO THANK YOU.
Instead, I’ll give you prompts that will help you loosen up and relax so that you can interact and have fun together more organically.
When your wedding is over — when the cake has been eaten, the DJ has packed up, and your guests have gone home — there are only a few things that remain:
Your love.
And your photographs.
(OOF, things just got real. Yiiiikes. But I won’t take back what I said.)
Let’s make sure your images highlight the nuances, laughter, and love of your relationship.
Let’s make sure they look like you.
Here’s the deal.

In addition to working with a variety of lens options and more than one camera, I always shoot on dual cards to ensure that your images are captured on more than one memory card. I back up all my work on external hard drives both before and after editing, and keep the edited images from your wedding for at least six months after the event date.
