Why Wedding Details are Important

Photographing the details you have carefully selected for your wedding is such a fun part of the day for me! From your invitations to your flowers, each item is a reflection of your personal style and deserves a moment to shine.

If you have time, I recommend gathering everything a day or two before the wedding so you’re not rummaging through boxes and bags to find your jewelry when your photographer arrives.

What should you include?

It’s up to you! Here’s a list to get you started - mix and match based on what details mean the most to you!

  • Engagement ring

  • Wedding bands

  • Ring boxes

  • Save the date

  • Invitation

  • Jewelry

  • Shoes

  • Veil

  • Clutch or purse

  • Wooden hanger for your dress

  • Bouquet

    • Protip: Ask your florist for a few loose blooms or extra ribbon from your bouquet that can be used for your detail photos as well

  • Groom’s shoes

  • Groom’s tie

  • Groom’s watch

  • Groom’s socks

  • Groom’s boutonniere

  • Vows books

  • Wedding programs

  • Sentimental items you’ll have with you that day

  • Gifts for each other

If you’re including any details honoring loved ones, they can also be part of your details! For example, I wrapped my grandmother’s rosary around the stem of my bouquet as a way to have her with me for the day.
