Even with the rain, it’s been a lovely weekend! A few of my childhood friends were in town for a wedding and we took advantage of the opportunity to spend Saturday morning on the porch and catch up over egg bake and bagels. It was a fantastic reminder that we don’t always need grand adventures to feel fulfilled; rather, sharing stories that lead to the flat out funny-can’t-breathe-laughing-so-hard belly laugh with those people that have known you for your entire life is a simple pleasure that can’t be replaced.

My wish for Marit and Blake’s sweet baby girl is that her life is filled with simple pleasures and true friends that always have her back!
